Cambio? That's a very weird name...
The word 'Cambio' comes from the name of an awesome, but now defunct, band in the Philippines. 'Nuff said.
 
System Requirements
  • Windows XP SP3, Vista, or Windows 7.
  • .NET Framework 4.0 (can be installed by the bootstrapper Setup.exe)
  • SQL Compact 4.0 (can be installed by the bootstrapper Setup.exe)
How to install Cambio
  1. Upon completing the download (by clicking the link below), extract the contents of the ZIP file to a temporary directory.
  2. Double-click Setup.exe to start the installer.
  3. Choose the installation directory and wait for the installer to finish.
  4. Once the installer is done, you can find a shortcut to Cambio from your Start menu.
Using Cambio for the first time
  1.  Cambio uses Feed plugins to determine where it will get its images. By default, all installed plugins are disabled.
  2. Start up Cambio (by shortcut or by running it from its installation directory).
  3. Click Settings.
The Settings tab is where you can modify the different options for Cambio
  1. From here you can choose which Feed to get your wallpapers from. Also Wallbase.cc supports searching where you can provide specific tags that you want from your wallpapers. For example, setting "nature | marvel comics" allows it to search for wallpapers with either "nature" or "marvel comics" in their tags. The use of the pipe ("|") character in the example allows you to specify multiple searches.
  2. Enable the Feed Fetcher by clicking on the checkbox beside the "Feed is disabled" label. This tells Cambio to start fetching the links from the Feeds you enabled.
  3. Enable the Thumbnail Fetcher by clicking on the checkbox beside the "Thumbnail Fetcher is disabled." Once this is checked, Cambio will start downloading the thumbnails for your wallpapers, so you can preview them before downloading the full image.
  4. Depending on your bandwidth and how many feeds you selected, it may take a while before you get some images ready for previewing. But pretty soon, if you go to the Images tab, you will get something like the one below:
The Images tab is where you can choose a wallpaper to use for your desktop.
How to change your wallpaper with Cambio
  1. Once you have a couple of images ready and you want one of them be your wallpaper, simply select that image and you will be able to get an option to do so.
  2. If you have not downloaded the full image yet, you will get a button to download it.
Download the full image so you can set it as your new wallpaper.
  1. Once the download is complete, or if you have downloaded the image before, you can then set the image as your wallpaper by selecting the dropdown button and choosing how you want it to be resized to your desktop.
The full image can be resized to fit, centered, or stretched to your desktop.
